A Robust Relationship With Money

A Robust Relationship With Money

When you think about money, what comes up first in your mind?

Do you feel confident that you could handle any financial situation that might arise in your life? It could be a financial crisis, a rapid acceleration of income, or a significant expansion in wealth.

It seems impossible with what we’ve learned from our parents, at school and in business. There are too many stories of poverty, greed and corruption around money. Those stories have tainted our understanding of what money really is.

But it's possible to have a different relationship with it that holds strong through all challenges. It doesn't mean you always have a lot of money in your bank account. That can fluctuate depending on you and what's going on in the world. It's more like a stable marriage that anchors you when the world around you feels very unstable and nourishes you with a direct experience of love.

It's time to grow that level of confidence.

When I wrote my book, Love Money, Money Loves You, I discovered that the energy of money isn't primarily about cash and bank accounts. Those are systems we've created to represent, to the best of our ability, what we think money is.

Money is really the energy of asking for and receiving what you want in life. It's the energy of manifestation, materialisation and creation, it's the energy of exchange that enables human beings to contribute to each other's well-being and quality of life.

When you have a solid relationship with this energy, you can't worry about money, even if it's temporarily in short supply. You discover there are many ways to get what you need, even in times of crisis, and a lot of support is available if you can recognise and accept it.

I personally feel it's very important for us to strengthen our relationship with money in these unstable times. We can't be sure what the economy is going to do over the next 10 years, but we can learn how to ask for and receive what we need and want in our life. It won't always come in the form of cash, but that doesn't matter.?

It's the value that counts.
