Robots are not replacing Humans – Engineering applications
Member's Night Talk at IES on 26th Apr 2018 from 6.00pm to 8.30pm
In today’s scenarios, customer needs to do through analysis before deciding on going into industrial robots. Firstly, the Preliminary Analysis has to be carried out in gathering inputs, understanding current requirements, and idea generation. Most of automation failures are due to poor planning. Secondly, Concept Development will pay a way for to Go or STOP investing in industrial robots. In this stage, customer simulate manufacturing concepts, using digital manufacturing software solutions in analyzing relevant scenarios. The customer can buy in digital simulation results as one-time services from either System Integrators or Service Consultants. The Cost Analysis is Last step in developing functional specification, develop system layout designs, and ROI cost estimates.
Good quality people / engineers are still needed to ensure that automation is carried out properly. If not, the results of failed automation incur safety violations, hardware damage, high resource utilization costs.

6 年Interesting observations - it again highlights the fact that fundamentals are important - for example - process planning and concept development before buying automation !
