Robots from China ???? VS USA ????

Robots from China ???? VS USA ????

We're just back from Boston, visiting the famed?Boston Dynamics. Their?robots?(Spot, Stretch, and Atlas) have gone around the world on social media for years.

We'll tell you exactly what we learned. But first, a Chinese robotics company we'll visit soon,?DJI.

?

1. How DJI changed the world

Drones are now everywhere. From Hollywood filmmaking to your neighbor's kid who keeps flying his into your tree.

They're now even starting to replace fireworks as a more socially and environmentally friendly option of spectacle.

But DJI is so much more.

They've set the new standard in video transmission tech, and have created a 3-axis camera called 'The Ronin' that was used on acclaimed shows like Mr. Robot and Mindhunter.

DJI is on the agenda to visit during our?China (re)Discovery Tour?with Pascal Coppens in April. The potential for businesses in this industry is sky-high. We'll see how they are shaping a completely new field that was previously thought impossible.

Other companies we're talking to/going to visit:?Huawei,?Ehang,?Alibaba,?Xpeng,?and?BYD.

It's going to be an epic journey through innovation and changing your outlook on the reality of tech and the world.

2. What we learned from Boston Dynamics

We're just back from Boston with a large insurance company on a Tailormade program. They flew down with their full exco for 5 days, with these goals in mind:

  1. To unearth promising business prospects that will propel them from good to?great.
  2. To tackle the pressing societal challenges of tomorrow across their vital domains.

One of the visits:?Boston Dynamics.

They have become more than a company. They've become a movement. Their?robots, especially the yellow dog-looking one 'Spot' shouldn't be new to you.

Talking about Hollywood and TV shows above, Spot also hasn't been shy of the silver screen.

And also similar to?DJI,?Boston Dynamics?is doubling down on the premise that exceptional?robots?can enrich people's lives.?

And they don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. Literally.

We've seen Atlas and Spot doing all they claim it can do. Their final goal is to?reduce the danger, repetition, and physically difficult aspects of work.

It's really special when we see the shift in the minds of our customers once they've?seen it with their own eyes. That's why we do what we do.

You can't understand this change, let alone create it, from behind your laptop's screen ...?talk to us?if you too want to realize change.

What you've seen in this email is just the tippy top of the iceberg of what we do. Sometimes we're the secret sauce for companies in private, other times it's fireworks (or drone shows) in public programs.

When you're ready to join us for a few days of this kind of inspiration, you know where to find us.

(if you don't, it's here -?nexxworks.com)

Or,?join our staff?of extraordinary people.

And finally, since we looked at robotics from China as well as the USA, here's a recent Radar podcast special with Peter Hinssen and Pascal Coppens.

They talked about how generative AI is developing in the West VS the East:
