ROBOTICS IN SURGERY
Robotically assisted surgery was developed to overcome the limitations of pre-existing minimally-invasive surgical procedures and to enhance the capabilities of surgeons performing open surgery. The main advantages of Robotic Surgery are reduction in Blood Loss, Less risk of Infection, Quicker return to Normal Activities, reduced body Pain and the reduced Number of Days in Hospital. Moreover the Robotic Arms fitted with Camera can significantly enhance the Surgeon’s ability to perform surgery safely on young Patients with tiny organs and tissues.?
?????? ? Robotic surgical devices have developed beyond the investigational stage and are now routinely used in minimally invasive general surgery, pediatric surgery, gynecology, urology, cardiothoracic surgery .Robotic devices continue to evolve and as they become less expensive and more widely disseminated .
The Computerized Controls of the Surgical Console are intuitive and easy to learn. The movements made by the robot ,at the command of the surgeon, are ultra-precise, allowing the surgeon to make refined movements to enhance the minimally invasive surgical procedure and allow the surgeon to close the finest of incisions and the tiniest of sutures. In open surgery, organs and tissues are often temporarily moved to allow for the surgeon's hands to access the affected area. The instruments of our surgical system, with their tiny size and full range of motion, are able to be positioned at the precise surgical angles needed so as to only minimally disturb a child's delicate tissues and organs.
