Exciting One-Day Cutting Edge Symposium on March 27, 2025

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming one-day Cutting Edge Symposium on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at CSIRO Clayton, VIC. This event will unite Australian and international researchers eager to explore the application of machine learning (ML) for autonomous, real-time decision-making across various domains.

Historically, industrial productivity has seen significant leaps with the introduction of machines during the Industrial Revolution, their electrification in the 1840s, and their automation in the 1960s. The next major leap is expected to come from machines, devices, and processes that can 'think for themselves.' Advanced decision-making in real-world, unpredictable environments—known as ‘unstructured’ environments—requires ML techniques. These techniques can process large datasets quickly to make context-sensitive decisions, crucial for applications across multiple domains, including autonomous cars.

The symposium will feature keynote lectures from global domain experts (details will follow), discussing the integration of traditional physics-based models with ML to improve decision-making capabilities. Validated physics models can provide 'clean' datasets for training ML models, facilitating more accurate and efficient real-time decisions.

The event will also include optional lab tours and a coding workshop on the following day, Friday, March 28, 2025.

We invite your company to advertise at the symposium with the following sponsorship options:

-Platinum, Gold, and Cocktail Sponsors: Advertise on banners (printed by us; dimensions to be provided) and receive 5 minutes for a pitch before the cocktail networking session. -All Sponsors: Logos will be displayed proportionately on the symposium website, live from September.?

Sponsorship proceeds will support early-career researchers by offering discounts on registration fees and poster competition prizes.

To finalize sponsorships and determine registration fees, please let us know if you would like to take any slot within 14 days of receiving this newsletter. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For any questions, feel free to get in touch with us.

We look forward to your participation in this event!
