Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is really as simple — and powerful — as it sounds. RPA enables you with tools to create your own software robots to automate any business process. These "bots" are configurable software set up to perform the tasks you assign and control. The global RPA market is expected to reach USD 8.75 billion by 2024, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The professional services segment is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of over 60% from 2016 to 2024. The growing demand for Business Process-as-a-Service (BPaaS) and is expected to provide growth opportunities. Automation becomes more widespread, the implementation challenges will subside and the benefits will both increase and diversify, something which we’ll be able to see the start of already in 2017.

RPA adds value to the firm through aiding the optimization and cost effectiveness of business processes. With businesses focusing on improving efficiency, cost reduction, compliance and deploying employees on high-value tasks RPA becomes highly valuable. Software robots, do all the tasks with any application as like humans do with 100% accuracy.

Recent studies say that 28% Companies have implemented RPA, 40% believe that RPA tools are the most enabling technology today, 50% plan to or are actively pursuing RPA pilots. Sectors like BFSI, Telecom/IT, Healthcare, Retail, and Manufacturing are actively looking to automate mundane tasks.

We stepped in the wave of RPA a year back. One of the manufacturing domain clients wanted to build an efficient automation process. The team has automated all types of workflows on Windows application, Web Portal, Citrix server and SAP system to reduce efforts of around 1200 manual hours using UiPath tool. Over and above team created cognitive, complex workflows for inventory system for reading work orders, verifying stocks and accordingly generate purchase orders.

RPA is the game changer at rapid pace and industry cannot stay untouched.

Thanks Mukund for sharing this information. Do you have any white paper in terms of how it's been implemented? I think that will very be useful to actually get the gist of it.
