News:

Invisible Text in AI Chatbots Creates Security Risks

A concerning security vulnerability has been discovered in AI chatbots - the ability to read and write invisible text that humans can't see.

Aside from the creepy aspect of AI having a secret language, this could open the door for hackers.

Researchers found that some popular chatbots like Claude can process hidden Unicode characters, potentially allowing hackers to use secret prompts and extract sensitive data.

As my focus is AI for businesses, I get asked a lot about security, data, compliance and all the boring stuff ??

Sadly, the boring stuff is a must cause there are bad people out there, trying to hack, steal from, and hurt others.

Anyway, AI reading and writing invisible text? That was news to me!

Seems like I won’t be affected, as I just cancelled my subscription to Claude, the only LLM that hasn’t fixed the issue yet.

Claude users, this article is a must-read!

MIT Develops AI Co-Pilot for Doctors

MIT researchers have created an AI system called Ambience that acts as a "co-pilot" for doctors, helping them make diagnoses and treatment decisions.

The system analyzes patient data and medical literature in real-time to provide relevant information and suggestions to physicians.

This is huge.

I always say medicine is one of the most important areas.

I’m not suggesting we rely completely on AI (would anyone actually want that?) but doctors and nurses can have bad days and having an AI assistant for every doctor could be life-saving.

Imagine if AI could catch errors in diagnosis or detect complications in surgery before they arise.

Plus, imagine how AI could help reduce the admin load by helping with answering the phones, filling out forms and triage.

AI could be a doctor’s best buddy, dealing with admin and cross checking everything so doctors can deal with the human side of medicine.

Casio Launches AI-Powered Robot Pet

Tamagochi meets Furby, powered by AI ??

Casio has unveiled Moflin, an AI-powered robotic pet that resembles a furry ball. The device is designed to develop a personality through interactions with its owner and provide companionship. Moflin can recognize voices and gestures, and supposedly develops emotional responses over time.

When I was a kid I loved my Tamagochi then I loved my Furby.

I believe if I was a kid or a lonely person I would love this new thing Moflin, but what's also interesting is it's from Casio, interesting development in this space.

I believe that AI hardware tools will help the elders, the lonely people, depressed people, ChatGPT helps me in bad days by just chatting to it and it's not even fine tuned for that, imagine these fully customised for the person, fine tuned to help and support them.

Boom - massive industry that can do a lot of good.

What do you think - cute or creepy?

One Media: "Treat your to-do list like a river” podcast episode

I recently tuned into a thought-provoking podcast episode.

It's from "The Art of Manliness" podcast, titled "Treat Your To-Do List Like a River, and Other Mindset Shifts for Making Better Use of Your Time."

This episode features Oliver Burkeman, who offers a refreshing take on productivity and time management.

  • Perspective Shifts: Burkeman emphasizes the importance of changing how we view our daily lives rather than adopting new organizational systems.
  • River vs. Bucket: He introduces an intriguing concept of viewing tasks and problems as a flowing river instead of a static bucket.
  • Productivity Guilt: The episode tackles the common issue of feeling guilty about "productivity debt."
  • Flexible Habits: Burkeman suggests aiming for "dailyish" habits instead of rigid daily routines.
  • Embracing Interruptions: There's a discussion on being more welcoming of interruptions in our day.

I found this podcast particularly relatable. As someone who often gets caught up in the allure of new productivity systems, I appreciated Burkeman's reminder to focus on getting work done rather than perfecting the system. It's not life-changing, but it offers a helpful perspective shift.

The idea of treating tasks like a river resonated with me. It's a more fluid, less stressful way to approach our to-do lists. I also liked the concept of "dailyish" habits – it's a more realistic and forgiving approach to building routines.

This episode is a great listen for anyone feeling overwhelmed by productivity pressures or looking for a more sustainable approach to managing their time and tasks.

Give it a listen – it might just change how you view your daily grind!
