Robot pets are coming for your brain!

A tour of a lab creating digital health tech to aid brain health – everything from robots to wearables and IOT to virtual reality and AI to adaptive robotic pets. Leading the tour: Casey Bennett, health informatics program chair at DePaul University.

Digital health tools are all the rage. Hospitals and health systems are proving them to be useful in treating all kinds of ailments.

Casey Bennett is at the forefront of digital health research. In his lab are bleeding-edge technologies all designed to help brain health.

Bennett, who holds a doctorate in computer science, is an assistant professor and chair of the health informatics program in the department of computing and digital media at Chicago's DePaul University. Previously he was a senior data scientist with Cigna and CVS Health.

He has many different research projects going on in his lab using many different digital health technologies, including robots, wearables, smartphones, IOT devices, virtual reality, AI and even adaptive robotic pets.
