Play your cards right.

It seems a good week to talk about dealing with the hand you are dealt as sometimes having a really good hand or squad of footballers, or inheriting a difficult situation to navigate, has made the news.

In our own lives we have many hurdles to navigate, and the only way to deal with them is to concern ourselves with issues we can affect and ignore those that we can’t affect. But we can try to find a positive, reframe the situation and look on the bright side.

We can all control our own thoughts and beliefs. We don’t have to worry about satisfying the demands of voters or football fans, we just have to make the best of whatever hand we have been dealt.
