It’s A-Level week.
As the A-Level results are published this week, all the talk is about results and Universities….but just imagine how that feels if, like me and many others, you ?have had enough of school and want to get out there and earn a living.?In my day it was a normal and applauded route, but now peer pressure can I’m sure make young people feel inferior if they want a job.
I’m not anti-University, many professions require a degree, and we all need those qualified people, but we also need tradesmen or women. A skill is a skill, regardless of the academia required, and what a mess we would be in without the many essential jobs very skilled people perform without ever having had a university education.
So, if you didn’t get the A Levels that you wanted or needed, don’t panic, you can enter the University of Life, and, if you apply yourself, you have every chance of being as successful as your mate from school who goes to university.?
"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will." - Vince Lombardi
