A halfway house??

10 years’ ago, the PHEV Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle hit the car world.? It was a mix of a petrol engine and a battery that would power the car for 30 miles, a ‘halfway house’ to full electric that sold well, but not main stream.

Now with the resistance to full EV, and the pressure to reduce dependency on internal combustion power, along with improved technology, could PHEV be the answer? It’s a compromise, but now with EV ranges at 70+ miles, that covers most daily journeys but removes range and charging anxiety. ?It does come at a cost, but tell me something that adds convenience that doesn’t! ?It’s worked for Uber eats etc.

Car buyers are confused, legislation is forcing the market to Electric Power, and PHEV offers the benefits of both.? So, until we get a total ban on new internal combustion power, we might see the second coming of PHEV for those who want to do their bit for the planet and still have the flexibility of traditional long-distance travel??
