Short term pain, long term gain!?

It’s strange how sayings we have known for generations have a habit of being so true even as most things change around us.

My short term pain, and it would be, is to not buy or sell anything to or from Russia. Yes it would be a massive problem, but nothing like those experienced in the Ukraine, and sometimes, we have to do the right things for the right reasons, and disregard the pain it might cause. I realise some will suffer more than others, and as I sell cars assembled in Europe, which probably won’t have raw materials, so no cars, I will have to use the rainy day money to protect my staff from hardship, but the long term gains for them and the rest of us, will be worth it for everyone.?
