Proud and passionate….

We often talk about people who have passion, and are proud of what they are, but in the last 7 days we have seen the real meaning of that! I for one have been more than touched by the Ukrainian people’s response to the invasion. I can only guess that back in 1939-40 it was the same here, but I really never thought that, in my lifetime, I would ever experience or see the courage, bravery and passion demonstrated by the Ukrainian people.

I was well aware to motivate us, money wasn’t the main driver, but this has highlighted just how emotions can drive people to put their lives on the line for what they believe in. These are not radical people who want to change the world, they just want to be left alone to get on with their lives, but they are going to fight for what they believe in.

I can only hope, like the rest of the civilised world, that a solution is found and reached quickly, and that nobody has to give up their life, home or country to protect their way of life - not just in Eastern Europe but in many other conflicts around the world – Let’s all aim for this high profile invasion to end very soon and in peace.???
