How time flies!

Last weekend we celebrated 11 years in business - so in true Yorkshire style, I bought all the staff their morning sandwiches.?It reminded me of being an apprentice and doing the ‘sarnie run’! Way back then it was either bacon or sausage or egg, or at best bacon and egg, or - not many will know about this - a dripping sandwich! Now thought it’s bacon, egg AND sausage AND maybe mushrooms AS WELL!! Strange isn’t it how little things change? And back then, it was the apprentice’s job to go get them - now they deliver!

Anyway, just to prove I don’t have ALL the traits of a typical Yorkie, we had the traditional birthday buns in the afternoon, and everyone got a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the birthday or/and England win – in fact, the way it’s going, they may have needed 3 bottles each? Let’s just all hope England pull it off on Sunday-

Everyone here at Luscombe’s wishes them well, and we will all be cheering them on, but there might be a few the worse for wear on Monday morning!! At almost 60, it could be the one and only time I see England in a final?????

“People always talk about how time flies; it's become sort of a colloquialism now. You don't really understand it until you reach your late 30s and early 40s - and I'm sure time will move even faster as I get older.” Ben Gibbard
