When is a good time to buy??

This is a question I am asked quite often, and from time to time the economic planets align and it’s a good time!

Well, it looks like NOW is one of those good times.

The used car market has been extremely busy- we surmise there are a number of reasons why - it could be that people are not wanting to use public transport, or, as they can’t have a holiday, they have chosen to buy a car instead.

Whatever the reason, used cars are in high demand, and prices are higher than 6 months’ ago.  That means, if you have a car, and are thinking of trading it in for a new car, your car is worth more – that would be no good if the new cars were also more expensive, so that’s where the good news is!

Manufacturers are not selling as many new cars as they would like – new car registrations were the lowest that they have been for years this September, which was the new 70 Plate registration month. This means that manufacturers are trying harder to move their cars, and it’s not pushing down the price of the average used car.

So, if you are in the lucky position that Covid-19 has not financially affected you, it really is a good time to bag a bargain.
