There is never a dull moment!
Yesterday I came to work to discover the shared storage we use for our new car compound was the victim of thieves. They broke into a storage unit, took £1,000’s worth of electrical items, loaded them into a stolen 3.5 Tonnes vehicle and then tried to get out of the secure compound!
They couldn’t open the gate, so they tried to drive the van between two of my cars which were stored there, ram raid a palisade fence and escape - fortunately they got stuck and ran off, having damaged two cars in the process.
But my main gripe is that, as we well know and most of us get really angry about, even if the police manage to match blood left in the stolen van, the criminal justice systems seem to favour the criminals. I really feel for the Police - never mind being understaffed, even when they catch someone bang to rights, they struggle to get a meaningful conviction.
Maybe I am sticking my head above the parapet, but surely it's about time the victims of crime had the upper hand, and we could control crime!

Difficult challenge, given the crumbling mess of the UK this century.? I could fix it but don't have the power or credibility to turn things around, no one in power or influence would listen to me right now - needs huge investments in society, not just policing.? The funds are easy to raise and implement but needs willingness to action.
