Ok so not such a good week for either Rugby League or Cricket, but a great week for Leeds Utd and Bradford City, so there is always some good sporting news to talk about -but we won’t tempt fate and say anymore!!
The big story at the moment is across the pond, with the two most unlikely candidates fighting it out to be the US President, it’s amazing that they are the best they can find, but does say something about their system of government, and should make us all happy at least we have a much better system in the UK, whoever wins, either side of the Atlantic!!
Fortunately all the political turmoil doesn’t seem to have affected the people of Leeds or West Yorkshire, as we are 5 months into our financial year, and we are selling more cars, servicing more cars and employing more people, so I guess customer service is more important than Brexit etc when it comes down to everyday reality, and not GDP, CPI, Inflation or exchange rates.
The only bad news I can think of this week is the clocks going back and the schools going back, so now the commute is not only longer but also in darkness, don’t worry it will soon be spring!!
Talking about traffic, did you know this week is the birthday of the first traffic lights in Britain, launched in Wolverhampton in 1927.
