This week’s diary is very easy, as I texted all the staff on Boxing Day morning at 9 am to ask for help moving new cars from our new car compound which is next to the River Aire, and by 9.30am we had a great turnout, wading through the water to move cars to safety, in the rain, on Boxing day morning.!!
Amazingly we moved them all before the water became too deep - in fact by the last one, the water level was dangerously close to being high enough to cause damage - so a massive thanks to a great team, who put the cars and the company first and helped save new cars from the floods. We then watched the flood water rise and almost reach the dealership, as a hundred yards nearer the City Centre would have been a disaster for the dealership as well!!
So we were lucky, but many other Yorkshire residents weren’t so lucky, and to do something to help, I am prepared to sell New Cars at Cost Price to anyone affected by the floods - I certainly don’t want to profit from others’ misfortune, and I think it’s the only way I can help - so if your car was damaged by the floods, we will do our best to replace it at cost price in time for work next week.
