Robin Williams

? Delving into the circumstances which resulted in the death of Robin Williams.

EXCERPT FROM WIKIPEDIA

"In New York City, Williams was part of the West Side YMCA runners club and showed promising results with 34:21 minutes at a 10K run in Central Park in 1975.

"He also became a devoted cycling enthusiast, having taken up the sport partly as a substitute for drugs. Eventually, he accumulated a large bicycle collection and became a fan of professional road cycling, often traveling to racing events such as the Tour de France.

"During the late 1970s and early 1980s, Williams had an addiction to cocaine. He was a casual friend of John Belushi, and the Saturday Night Live comic's death in 1982 from a drug overdose, which happened the morning after the two had partied together, along with the birth of his own son Zak, prompted him to quit drugs and alcohol: "Was it a wake-up call? Oh yeah, on a huge level. The grand jury helped, too." Williams turned to exercise and cycling to help alleviate his depression shortly after Belushi's death; according to bicycle shop owner Tony Tom, Williams said, "cycling saved my life."

"In 2003, Williams started drinking again while working on the film The Big White (2005) in Alaska. In 2006, he checked himself in to a substance-abuse rehabilitation center in Newberg, Oregon, saying he was an alcoholic. Years afterward, Williams acknowledged his failure to maintain sobriety, but said he never returned to using cocaine, declaring in a 2010 interview:

No. Cocaine—paranoid and impotent, what fun. There was no bit of me thinking, ooh, let's go back to that. Useless conversations until midnight, waking up at dawn feeling like a vampire on a day pass. No.

"In March 2009, he was hospitalized due to heart problems. He postponed his one-man tour for surgery to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve, and correct his irregular heartbeat. The surgery was completed on March 13, 2009, at the Cleveland Clinic.

"His publicist, Mara Buxbaum, commented that he had severe depression before his death. His wife, Susan Schneider, said that in the period before his death, Williams had been sober, but was diagnosed with early-stage Parkinson's disease, which was information he was "not yet ready to share publicly". An autopsy revealed that Williams had diffuse Lewy bodies (which had been misdiagnosed as Parkinson's) and this may have contributed to his depression.

"In an essay published in the journal Neurology two years after his death, Schneider revealed that the pathology of Lewy body disease in Williams was described by several doctors as among the worst pathologies they had seen. She described the early symptoms of his disease as beginning in October 2013. Williams's initial condition included a sudden and prolonged spike in fear, anxiety, stress and insomnia, which worsened in severity and then included memory loss, paranoia, and delusions. According to Schneider, "Robin was losing his mind and he was aware of it ... He kept saying, 'I just want to reboot my brain.'"

"In mid-2014, Williams admitted himself into the Hazelden Foundation Addiction Treatment Center in Center City, Minnesota, for treatment for alcoholism.

"Williams was found dead in his home in Paradise Cay, California, on August 11, 2014. The final autopsy report, released in November 2014, concluded that Williams' death was a suicide resulting from "asphyxia due to hanging". Neither alcohol nor illegal drugs were involved, and prescription drugs present in his body were at therapeutic levels. The report also noted that Williams had depression and anxiety. An examination of his brain tissue suggested Williams had "diffuse Lewy body dementia". Describing the disease as "the terrorist inside my husband's brain", his widow Susan Schneider Williams said that "however you look at it—the presence of Lewy bodies took his life", referring to his previous diagnosis of Parkinson's. She noted "how we as a culture don't have the vocabulary to discuss brain disease in the way we do about depression. Depression is a symptom of LBD and it's not about psychology – it's rooted in neurology. His brain was falling apart." Medical experts struggled to determine a cause, and eventually diagnosed him with Parkinson's disease.

"The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) clarified the distinction between the term used in the autopsy report, "diffuse Lewy body dementia"—which is more commonly called "diffuse Lewy body disease" and refers to the underlying disease process—and the umbrella term "Lewy body dementia"—which encompasses both Parkinson's disease dementia (PD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). According to LBDA spokesperson Dennis Dickson, "The report confirms he experienced depression, anxiety, and paranoia, which may occur in either Parkinson's disease or dementia with Lewy bodies. ... In early PD, Lewy bodies are generally limited in distribution, but in DLB, the Lewy bodies are spread widely throughout the brain, as was the case with Robin Williams." Ian G. McKeith, professor and researcher of Lewy body dementias, commented that Williams's symptoms and autopsy findings were explained by DLB. Williams' body was cremated at Monte's Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo, and his ashes were scattered over San Francisco Bay on August 21, 2014."

EXCERPT FROM KELLY PATRICIA O’MEARA ARTICLE

"The medical examiner’s report cites an antidepressant drug was in Williams’ system at the time of his death. The particular antidepressant, Mirtazapine, (also known as Remeron) carries 10?international drug regulatory warnings on causing suicidal ideation.

"According to the autopsy results, not only was Williams under the influence of antidepressant drugs, but the powerful antipsychotic Seroquel was also found at the scene and appears to have been recently taken by Williams. While toxicology tests apparently were negative for the antipsychotic Seroquel, the fact remains that a bottle of Seroquel prescribed to Williams on August 4th,?just seven days prior to Williams’ suicide, was missing 8 pills. The Seroquel instructions advise to take one pill per day as needed. Side effects associated with Seroquel include psychosis, paranoid reactions, delusions, depersonalization and suicide attempt.

"The question that has to be asked is why the press continues to promote the idea that no drugs were found in Williams’ system? At what point did mind-altering psychiatric drugs, which have side effects rivaling those of heroin or crack cocaine, stop being called drugs?"

WAS THERE A COVERUP TO OBFUSCATE THE FACTS?

QUESTIONS REQUIRING ANSWERS

?? Why was legal action not brought against whoever prescribed Mr Williams these antidepressants?

?? If a bottle of Seroquel that had been prescribed to Williams seven days prior to his death was missing 8 pills, why did the toxicology tests fail to show a positive for Seroquel? If the deceased had consumed Seroquel in the seven days prior to his death, shouldn't the toxicology tests have revealed this? ——

?? Or is it possible that the toxicology test was inadvertently or deliberately swapped with the toxicology test results of an entirely different individual?

DRUG TESTING

?? According to this (medicalnewstoday) source:

"Seroquel’s half-life is about 6 hours. (A drug’s half-life is the amount of time it takes for your body to get rid of half a dose.)

"It takes about five half-lives for a drug to be cleared out of your system. Based on this, Seroquel may stay in your body for about 30 hours after your last dose."

?? And this (springhillrecovery) source:

"Quetiapine, known by the brand name Seroquel, is an antidepressant medication that is also an antipsychotic. It can be detected in your body for 2 to 90 days, depending on the type of test done. It can create a false positive for illicit substances and may be used in polysubstance use.

"Seroquel can be detected in a blood sample drug test for 2 days after your last use. Blood tests are rarely utilized, occurring mostly in medical situations or a law enforcement request.

"Hair follicle testing is a long-term test for all types of drugs. It can detect Seroquel use for up to 90 days.

"It usually takes at least one week after drug use for the hair to grow long enough to be tested, so this is not the ideal drug test for determining recent use.

"A urine sample may show Seroquel use for 2 days after your last use. This is by far the most common type of standard drug testing, especially for pre-employment proceedings.

"This medication has an effect on both the dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain. This is similar to other drugs, including some illicit substances.

"This is why false positives are possible while taking this and other antidepressant medications. These drugs affect your body in similar ways, and it can be difficult to distinguish between them.

"A second test of the same sample will usually determine if a positive result was actually a false positive." Website Read

MR WILLIAMS NOT RECEIVING PROPER HELP

?? Whilst he was exercising and cycling to alleviate depression, things were okay.

But then somewhere along the way he was introduced to antidepressant drugs, which ended up becoming his downfall.

If instead he had been made aware of Dianetics technology, there is a strong likelihood he would still be with us today, doing what he did best: making everyone laugh.

DRUG SUSCEPTIBILITY

?? Robin appeared to have somewhat of a susceptibility as far as drugs were concerned, with this making him particularly vulnerable — to allowing himself to be influenced by those around him, for example — which could culminate in him ending up on some problematic substance.
