Warren Buffett's wise and beautiful quote?"If you wait for the robins, spring will be over"??is something I believe he expressed in 2008, a time of great general worry in the global economy, with markets under strong downward pressure, iconic companies going bankrupt, and a pervasive general global economic malaise in abundance. Generally, fear was strong; faith was weak.
?And the great, world-renowned investor Mr. Buffett said,?"If you wait for the robins, spring will be over."
Well what happened the very next year after what investors may recall was a rough, tough 2008?
The robins appeared and they?'sang a lovely Spring song!'??Global equity markets unexpectantly 'bottomed' on March 9, 2009, and 'roared' back for a wonderful 2009 year of great gains!
So now, 15 years later, how is this relevant??
Seasoned investors know,?'The Wall of Worry'?never, ever goes away - it always remains present, and changes it's form, in innumerable ways. Yet quality investments, over time, and with patience,??'Climb The Wall of Worry!'?despite its many reasons it not make progress.?This is historically proven, and true.??
While the committed naysayer investor can surely find companies that did not succeed, and point out his negative conviction in point, touting?"I told you so!"??Agreed.??But where does that criticism get the naysayer??All investments hold risk and reward, of one type of another.?
I can also show you a great number of generally well-known, publicly-listed companies that prove indisputably that owning quality companies over time, works! And works very well!??
Perhaps because of my deep and lifelong passion and past many years of professional involvement in music,?today?I express Mr. Buffett's same expressed wisdom to:??"If you wait to hear the robin sing, you will miss Spring!
The idea is the same; the wisdom is the same.?
Suggestion:?Please mull over Mr. Buffett's wisdom, if you want to?'wait till things are just right.'??Please consider Mr. Buffett's great wisdom.?He is not known to be one of the Greatest investors of all time, for no good reason.
On another note for Canadian investors, please do not leave your RRSP contributions to the end of?February 2023!?Please get this important component of your financial health done well before the scramble-time of late?February, with the RSP-contribution deadline for your 2022 tax-deduction being?Wednesday March 1, 2023.

You may have unused RRSP-contribution room carry-forward, from past years.
And should, for whatever reason, you not be able to benefit from applying your RRSP-contribution made now, for 2022, you can carry-forward the application of your RRSP-tax-deduction, to a future year(s).
