Robin Hood Army

There are more foodstuffs produced every year that can feed the world's entire population, and millions of people starve to death.

This is the peak of cruelty. When nature produces enough for everyone, humans, by their trade and greed, do not let part of their brothers and sisters have a meal. An estimate indicated 850 million hungry people in the world!?

The Robin Hood Army is a volunteer-based NPO that works to get surplus food from restaurants to the less fortunate sections of society in cities across India and ten other countries. Today there are 250,000 volunteers operating in 500 cities to fulfill this mission. They get surplus food from restaurants and route it to less privileged families, orphanages, night shelters, homes for abandoned children, and patients from public hospitals.

"It started as a one-man show in 2011. Hunter Halder would hop on his bicycle every night and scout Lisbon restaurants to pick up each restaurant's leftover food to distribute among those hardest hit by the country's economic crisis.

Another demonstration of volunteer-based movement.?

Have Robin Hood Army’s number handy. Who knows, your surplus food can feed thousands of hungry stomachs. Send ‘hi’ to 8971966164

Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria, and terrorism combined. Let's wage war against hunger.
