Roar

These two verses were penned by Hosea and stand in sharp contrast to me.

“They will follow the Lord; he will roar like a lion.”

“The merchants uses dishonest scales and loves to defraud.”

The first scripture depicts faithful followers of the Lord. The roar of the lion makes them stand out in a crowd because they follow Him, they are different.

I want to be that guy. The guy that people can say, “Ross stands out because he follows the roar of the lion, he follows the Lord. Great is his faithfulness.”

The second verse talks about how dishonest businessmen existed even in the day of Hosea. Corruption is still all around, temptation is great in business. This week, we learned yet again, how one of America’s oldest banks created 2 million bogus credit cards. All for ill-gotten gain. Many of America’s business leaders have lost their way. They cut corners and don’t care about their customers. Customers have become second priority, replaced by greed and corruption and the drive to make more, to have more, even to the point of defrauding customers. The very people they serve and who pays their salary and bonuses.

I say enough!
