Roaming Around Tribeca

This weekend's newsletter article ?? begins with me in the TriBeCa area of New York City, strolling down Varick Street on my way home.
For those unfamiliar with the TriBeCa neighborhood in the Big ?? Apple, it's a hip area known for its trendy boutiques, restaurants, cobblestone streets, and old industrial buildings. Today, most of the old industrial buildings are now high-end residential lofts and condos.
If you happen to be wondering ?? what the acronym TriBeCa stands for, the answer is "Triangle Below Canal," and the neighborhood is bordered by Canal Street (to the north), West Street (to the east), Broadway (to the west), and Chambers Street (to the south).
So as I was making my way ???? down Varick Street and fastly approaching where it intersects with N Moore Street, I couldn't help but notice the 57-story, unique-looking skyscraper in my direct line of sight ?? and only a few blocks away.
Note: This skyscraper is often referred to as the Jenga Tower because it reminds people of the wooden tower in the Jenga Game—now, back to my story! ??
After staring at the Jenga Building for a brief moment, I made it to the corner of Varick and N Moore Streets a few seconds later and immediately spotted ?? the Hook & Ladder 8?Fire Station, the firehouse used as Ghostbusters headquarters in the popular 1984 film.?
I ended up pausing ?? my walk ???? for a moment and stood right in front of the firehouse, reminiscing about the first time I saw the movie with my family, which brought back some funny memories.
After reminiscing about that fun experience, I reached for my #iphone, opened my journal app and began capturing my thoughts, and of course, took a few pics ?? for my photo journal.
I then decided to roam around ???? Tribeca slowly, continuing to type my thoughts into my journal app and taking pictures ?? of anything that caught my eye!
I must have wandered ???? around Tribeca happy-go-lucky for at least half an hour, exploring the neighborhood as I'd never done before.
Along the way, I stumbled upon the alley where the infamous Staples Street Skybridge sits, one of the smallest streets in the Big ?? Apple.
Note: The buildings connected by this skybridge once belonged to New York Hospital, known today as New York Presbyterian.

I eventually made my way ???? down to the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, AKA the Oculus, where I ran into several murals with messages I found apropos to weave into my closing thoughts.
Closing Thoughts
Well, friends, it's time for me to go inside the Oculus subway station and jump on the 4-train. Before I go, I wish you...
Peace, Love, and Big Dreams...

2 年As always thanks for a lovely time… I never knew the background on TriBeCa. The only message in the pictures not highlighted is the Oculus where is reads “Everyone’s different”. Just like the diverse NYC architecture and energy you always capture perfectly, the differences are what make it all so beautiful. Until we meet again… be well my friend.
