"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads" But a Career Path on the other hand.....

An SDR with aspirations of becoming a BDM ? You should definitely read on.

You want to take the next natural step in your career and become a BDM; a question you’re probably asking is how am I going to get there? Is there a clear path of progression illustrated at your current workplace?

From my own experiences in the early stages of my career in Sales, I know how important it is to have an agreed set of goals to work toward to continue developing, both professionally and personally.

I have worked at companies without these clear ‘paths’ which has meant that hard working, talented individuals never see their potential actualised. I’m passionate about ensuring that these experiences don’t happen on my watch and that those who work with me are recognised and are able to see exactly what is needed to be achieved in order to step up and move forward.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with lots of amazing people. People who I’ve helped achieve their short term and medium goals, both professionally and personally, and set them up for long term future success. It is with a sense of tremendous pride that I watch on now as those members of the team, and now people I consider friends, continue their journey limitlessly.

In regards to my own personal journey, I’ve recently joined Ometria. This is a company that shares my values and places a great weight of importance on focusing on and nurturing their people. Seeing their mission first-hand and a continued effort to uphold these values means that I am tasked with the exciting role of helping the next generation of salespeople exceed even their own expectations.

So, this isn’t a post noting how easy it is to hit target, how much money you’re set to make or coax you in with the lure of free breakfasts and a relaxed atmosphere; although all those things are additional pluses. To quote a fave film of mine, Se7en, the truth is that “long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light”. Which is just a very poetic way of saying most great things are a challenge but the payoff will be well worth it.

I think Ometria is where your next challenge lies. So let's get in touch.

Remember if you have a goal with no plan to get there, then that goal is just is a wish.
