My sister and I took a road trip over Labor Day weekend. We headed to our brother and sister-in-law's in upstate New York, for our soon-to-be niece-in-law's bridal shower. It was great to get away from my same-old-same-old, even for just two days, most of which was spent driving! The time with our family was so worth it. Even the driving time was well spent, as my sister and I were able to catch up on so much more than we usually can. Time in the car is so conducive to really sharing! It was priceless. It's so easy to miss these kinds of events because we're "busy." I'm so, so glad we went.
