The Road not taken...
'Dare to bring life to your dreams' PC: Me:)

The Road not taken...

During my recent trip to Chikamaglur, I captured a beautiful pathway on a hill as I wandered early morning around this amazing place! The scenic beauty of this place was so mesmerizing that it took me back to my childhood when I painted this picture in my mind while reading ‘The Road not Taken’ by Robert Frost - One of my favorite poems as a student. ‘Road’ which is a metaphor has been a turning point in our lives many a times. The two paths is a symbol of life decision, life is full of choices and every decision we take can really affect our lives.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both…

Honestly, I was not this assertive or courageous at that time but that moment made me ponder on why fear or what could possibly go wrong if I do not follow the usual path? Right from choosing Commerce over Science and then Chartered Accountancy in those days, I never looked back. I followed my heart and choose what I was passionate about and my father became my hero to support me all along the way! I am so grateful to him, he continues to give wings to my dreams :)

Whenever I get stuck at crossroads hesitant at times about continuing my job after having kids, my mother encourages me to focus on my career that I am so passionate about and my hubby supports me back home with kids’ daily school assignments (which I am sure most of you would agree is a herculean task!) and quick chores :) Over a decade now in the retail space, it's been a great journey with an amazing work-life integration! I learnt that if you believe, there is always a way out; we just need to trust and move ahead.

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”

 – T.S Eliot

…I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

I strongly believe in being your own self, being real and being authentic - be it at home or at work. Life is beautiful - It’s all about being happy, optimistic, showing your gratitude and giving your best! Do share your experiences to learn from each other.
