Thatcham Research has today announced the headline event sponsor and the pair who will be driving the restored Mazda MX5 in the upcoming AutoRaise Rally.
Andy Mackay and Samuel Morris (pictured) from Thatcham Research will be taking the wheel and setting off on the two-day Viking-themed rally tomorrow (Thursday 7 September), trekking across the breathtaking East Anglian and Lincolnshire landscapes.
Mackay, media specialist, said: “Taking part in the Autoraise Rally is a great opportunity to network and showcase the great work both Autoraise does and the extremely high standard of engineering skill, talent, and attention to detail that our trainers and apprentices have at Thatcham Research.”
Morris, media specialist, added: “I’m am ecstatic to be taking part in the Autoraise Rally, the Mazda MX5 Andy and myself will be driving has been restored and repaired to such a high standard in our repair academy, it really is a statement to the high level of skill, talent and craftsmanship our trainers have, which is being passed on to the wealth of young talented apprentices that come through our doors.”
The drivers will be filming and documenting their rally journey so it can be shared on social media after the event.

Thatcham Research are also pleased to announce they have raised ￡2,750 in their charity rally fundraiser so far, with support from headline sponsor AirPro Diagnostics .
