The Road to Know Where - My Journey

Chapter 3 : The Journey in Between - Growing

Who enjoys waking up early? I do! Why, you ask? Well, in the early hours of dawn (I just love the phrase "wee hours" ??????), nature begins to stir, breaking the silence of the night. Sometimes it starts with the gentle sound of raindrops, other times it’s the crowing of roosters or the chirping of birds, accompanied by the steady hum of the city waking up. It feels like chaos is all around. Yet, strangely enough, no one is orchestrating this symphony; it seems to arrange itself. In chaos, we discover patterns, and it's through these patterns that we can move forward.

If we don't forge forward, least we fall into despair.

In order for one to avoid problems in the world, you must confront them squarely, and keep in mind the only one important concept;

Nothing is constant and everything changes.

With a registered company 'Micro Intelligent Solutions Limited', the year is 2006. I knew that this was just the beginning of a thrilling adventure. With Visual Studio as my trusted companion and the drive to create intelligent solutions, I was confident that the future held endless possibilities. The long name might have raised a few eyebrows, but it reflected the ambitious goals I had set for myself and my company.

My room, which also functioned as my office in my grandmother's house, had two doors: one leading into the main house (the inside door) and the other opening onto a balcony (the balcony door). The balcony door was designated as the office entrance, so anyone coming to work or looking for me during office hours had to use that door. The inside door was reserved for use only before and after office hours. This setup occurred within the same space, but my mind had figured out how to create a distinction between the two environments.

I know this might surprise many people, but when I wake up, I get ready by putting on a nicely ironed shirt, khaki trousers, and shoes, even though I’m just heading back to my room. I leave my room through the inside door and lock it, as if I’m departing the house for work. I walk past my siblings' and cousins' windows, go around the first balcony facing my brother's room, and make my way to my balcony door. Then, I open the office door and step back into my room, which instantly transforms into my office until 4 PM. After that, it reverts to being just my room again.

This home/office setup instilled discipline in me, a routine I maintained for over two years. My ever-evolving team and I consistently ventured out to distribute website and software proposals. We dedicated our days to visiting and engaging with both existing and potential customers, while our nights were spent building, creating, and solving problems. Looking back, I realise I’ve always had a fantastic, supportive, helpful team members.

It’s one thing to be useful and another to be helpful; the key is learning how to combine both. Usefulness is what you achieve when you develop yourself to be of service to both yourself and the world around you. Is it possible to be helpful without being useful? Or can you be useful without being helpful? ...??... Just a thought.

You simply don't become useful and helpful, it's a conscious act, something you decide to become.

In the chaos, l grew stronger by the day and slowly learn't the beauty of relying on just myself.

In my office, I had printed out the Windows Kernel functions and pasted them on the walls. I was constantly improving and learning while working on contracts. I was on fire... ?? By the time I looked up, 2007 was coming to a close.

No time to check time

Engrossed in continuous work and learning for two straight years, I woke up one day to realize I could afford to buy a car ??. Wow! ?? ??. However, I still couldn't pay for it in full. I decided to purchase my first car, a Honda Civic, for GHS 8,000 cedis, which meant I had to stretch my finances quite a bit ??. Hmmm... ?? 'Ool3..3wccc.miink333 bo'(GA)[You don't know so l am telling you]

Whenever one part of you goes up, another part of you must comes down. The law of equivalent exchange.

Another crucial lesson I had to master is that life is filled with ups and downs, often referred to as "seasons" in many religious texts. The key is to use the good times to prepare for the tough times. This is something you can only truly understand through experience, often by going broke.

First keep in mind;

There is no small money, you just don't know how to multiply it by itself

The reason we tend to spend what we have is that we assume our next payment will come in soon... ??????. This, too, is a misconception. As a result, we often find ourselves borrowing from people who earn less than we do.Hmmm... I realized I needed to get my act together ????????. I kept asking myself how to do that, and then, boom ??, I stumbled upon a strange yet intriguing answer.

the less you need to live, the more you get to Invest.

A trick l figured out when l got broke the second time l return to my grandmothers house.
