RKWN Real Talk Series: More tips to manage challenges during lockdown

With the current lockdown still in effect, I have found a shared challenge relates to feeling out of a routine and being able to switch off at the end of the day. Below are three tips to help manage this challenge and how these tips help with mental health and productivity.

?Biggest Challenge During Lockdown

I personally have found this lockdown to be more challenging.?I have generally felt out of a routine and struggled with switching off at the end of the day.?Our team has been very busy with new enquiries as many couples are too feeling the challenges of this lock down so it is really important for me to stay well physically and mentally so that I can be there to support my clients.?

Tip: I have realised this time around how important a morning routine is!?

  1. Each morning I go for a walk with my dog.?I have 5 different cafes in my local area so I support each of them by buying a coffee on my way home from my walk.?
  2. I make a point of getting ready for the day by putting on makeup and getting dressed appropriately instead of being in my comfy clothes with a messy bun!?
  3. I also have taken the time to unwind at the end of the day properly by actually packing up my work station and going for a short walk after work.?

I have found these strategies to make an immense difference for my mental health and productivity during this lockdown. Being part of the Russell Kennedy Women's Network (RKWN) has helped as well because it provides a platform to connect and show support with other professionals.
