We are excited to celebrate the official launch (1 Dec 2024 onwards) of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Metro (Lines 4, 5, and 6), a landmark project designed and built by the FAST CONSORTIUM .

As the country’s first urban transit system and one of the largest infrastructure projects globally, this achievement underscores our commitment to delivering innovative and outstanding infrastructure.

Key Highlights

• World-Class Construction: Samsung C&T, Engineering & Construction delivered Lines 4, 5, and 6, covering 70km, with 29 stations and 24km of elevated viaducts.
• Engineering Excellence: Used advanced methods like the Full Span Launching Method (FSLM) to ensure efficient and safe construction.
• Record-Breaking Tunneling: Achieved global records in tunneling speed with 9.8m Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).
• Automated Systems: Delivered a fully automated, driverless metro system for enhanced safety and operational efficiency.
