This is an important matter to be touched,
It is know that there is rivalry in many cases between NGOs and Humanitarian Organizations, reason why there are some problems in coordinating a joint action or work.
For one thing there is the donors or financers race to obtain funds for the continuous operations.
I have seeing in my years of work that there are different situations, were International Organizations, Foundations, NGOs and other Humanitarian organization are not able to joint forces, for different reasons.
This is really a pity, since all know that joining forces, the impact is greater.
There are cases, many now perhaps, that you have different organizations working in the same region, country or community without coordinating, and in some cases repeating the objective or a different objective.
So it is long overdue, to join together when is possible. Most Organizations are in the called Developed Countries, only some are local, regional or national.
The important ones (for me all are important) should not try to compete to be the focal point, always decide for the benefit of the situation, who will be better and not override locals ones.
Inside some organizations there is a difference made between staff, from the HQ staff, to the local staff. (many times the HQ or delegate is giving a VIP treatment, and the local staff is the one serving, which should not be like that.)
So I hope for a greater coordination, no rivalry for the benefit of All.
Is this impossible? I don't think so.
