Risk, Workers, and Black Jack - How Risk and Flow create operational success...

This week's episode of the PreAccident Podcast feature Professor Jim Barker and a discussion of risk and a game of chance - Black Jack. Dr. Barker uses this discussion to explain how player must learn the rules of the game, learn to work with the people that are sitting next to them while playing the game, and eventually how "the house" does everything in its power to manage the odds to their favor.

You always play Black Jack with the people who are playing next to you - the game of Black Jack is rip-roaring example of operational complexity. You are always intertwined with the other players, the dealer, and the game - the game is a working example of complex operations.

The House and The Players are constantly hoping for a 70% solution...
