The Risk Not Taken: A question of free will versus determinism.
There comes a time in life when you think about your choices, whether to go with the mainstream or go it alone. If life is a journey, you are a traveler whose destination is uncertain and its clarity is dependent on the choices or actions you take.
As you journey along, with an important conscious decision, choose the least popular and comfortable path of most resistance.
In choosing a path, it is very certain that you will go down one and regretted not being able to take both, so take valuable and calculated risks. In the end, you will have to sacrifice one for the other.
At those times in life when a decision must be made, which way will you go? Ponder over this. The risk not taken might not get you to a successful life destination.
I come from a family of 5, my parents and two sisters. My parents are loving and supportive yet very protective of their girls ??. We grew up behaving like triplets, adorned with matching outfits and our low-cut hair patted beautifully with a plastic comb for every outing. When holidaying at a cousin's house, we all go as a group leaving our parents homesick ?? which most often, shortens the duration of the holiday.
Since childhood, we've spent a maximum of 7 days on holidays and a curfew time of 6 pm except for a church program.
The news about my first job was conceded by my parents. The agreement was to allow me time to complete my secondary education. Two nights after my graduation, they broke the news to me for me to decide if I was going to take the job or decline. I was a smart 17-year-old whose only travel was her village ??. Well, I accepted the offer even though my parents curiously asked for the second time to be more convinced about my acceptance. I was counseled, advised, and prayed for.
Our loved ones have different ways of expressing their love for us to the detriment of our future career pursuits. Sometimes they don't realize the negative threat it poses on our way as we climbed the success ladder. Some become less concerned, overprotective, and limiting. Whatever the case may be, ensure that the risk you wish to take is morally standing, and valuable and will launch you into a successful future.

If you must break out to thrive and emerge, do so! When you've observed that such an environment is becoming toxic for you. Nothing thrives in comfort zones.
"That's the thing about free will: Every decision we make is a choice against something as much as it is for something else. God created every man to be free. The ability to choose whether to live free or enslaved, right or wrong, happy or in fear is something called free will. Every man was born with free will."
