At the risk of showing up
Showing Up - Two simple words that can revolutionise your life.
In a world of goal setting, habit building, productivity hacks, and big hairy audacious goals, we are often led to believe we need the latest apps, tools, and strategies to make progress. But the truth is, no amount of technology or tricks will make a difference unless you start with the foundation of consistently showing up.
This year, I made a commitment to myself to wake up an hour earlier each day and take the dogs for a walk before starting work, following some advice from my business coach to break out of my comfort zone.
This small tweak to my routine has been a game-changer for me. I feel more productive and energetic now, thanks to the fresh air, exercise, and clear mind. It's got me thinking about how making small changes can make a big impact in all aspects of life.
Meet Dixie Maria Carlton, an associate and a great friend. She is a woman who embodies the concept of showing up. Dixie started her career in marketing and gradually built her skills and knowledge to become a successful author, public speaker, writing & brand coach, and authority in the book-writing space.
Dixie has just published her 23rd book and has well in excess of 200 books published for her clients. Her unwavering commitment to consistently showing up has earned her a reputation as an expert in her field.
Dixie's story is a testament to the impact of showing up every day. She didn't achieve overnight success, but rather through years of hard work, one paragraph at a time. And now, she inspires others to do the same.
Embracing the idea of slow and steady progress has given me a renewed motivation to show up for those small tasks and routines every day.
I've come to realise that success, both in business and in life, isn't about seeking short-term gains. It's about putting in consistent effort and staying dedicated over time, building sustainable routines and processes for yourself and your team that drive you toward your long-term objectives.

2 年Awww thanks Karen - I think you should definitely give up your day job and become my PR chick! :-) But seriously, none of us can do anything unless we have supportive friends, colleagues, and a kick arse way to stomp all over our imposter syndromes... I stand on the shoulders of giants.... :-) Hey let's write a book together. xx
