The Risk and Resilience HUB Goes Global

The vision for the HUB began 35 years ago and has evolved. First, we had an Emergency Preparedness cooperative focused on earthquakes, followed by the Disaster Resource GUIDE to integrate BC, DR & EM, next the Continuity eGUIDE and now the Risk and Resilience HUB. A lot has changed since the early days. It has been a 3-year journey and finally, it’s time for “show and tell”. Along the way, abundant challenges in the trenches have reminded us that resilience is about vision and perseverance.
Why an Online Platform? The Risk and Resilience HUB is not just a website.
It has been built as a repository for curated content – a place for professionals to easily locate relevant, top-notch resources. It has been built for connection and collaboration. While we would love to unveil a perfect platform, instead we offer you an ecosystem that is in process and that will be shaped by the industry we care deeply about.
More than the Sum of the Parts: The HUB’s uniqueness is not to be found in one feature but rather in the combination of four key areas:
- Knowledge Center: Featuring subject matter experts in key areas and integrating the disciplines of business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery, emergency response, and governance risk and compliance. Think Google, but curated with the best content!
- Five Directories: Vendors, associations, events, educational institutions and government agencies. Think Angie’s List!
- Community: A place to make connections, share ideas, learn new things and more. Think Facebook without annoying ads!
- Partners: The HUB is a gathering place to bring together companies and industry groups who have the answers needed in this fast paced world. We will leverage our 35 years of relationships to bring you the resources you need. Think Skype with problem solvers!
You are invited to come to the new Risk and Resilience HUB and take a look. www.riskandresiliencehub.com Tell us what you think – what works and what doesn’t. It all matters. And by all means, if you have something to add…let us know! And, then, at some point, please share the good news with your social network.
The HUB is a work in progress. With your help, the best is yet to come!
