RisingWave Database

• MongoDB Sink. Risingwave now supports both append-only and upsert MongoDB sink. By specifying the column in the field “collection.name.field”, the data can be dynamically dispatched to different collections in MongoDB by the value of the column.
• File Sink. We now support a file sink that sinks data in the format of Parquet files to various file systems such as S3, GCS, and AzureBob.
• Auto Schema Change in MySQL CDC. MySQL CDC source can now automatically change the schema when “add column” and “drop column” commands are issued to the upstream MySQL.

• When ingesting CDC data directly, you can Monitor the progress of direct CDC for PostgreSQL and Monitor the progress of direct CDC for MySQL for both historical and real-time data.
• Explore how to employ Time travel queries to access historical data.
• Protect and maintain external database credentials by learning how to Manage secrets. You can use the CREATE SECRET and DROP SECRET commands for improved privacy.
• Learn how to restore data from a meta snapshot with a SQL database as meta store backend.
