Rising Threats in the Middle East require change of policy

Turkey has made a strange move today, showing that Ankara not only wants to maintain tensions in the region, but also to increase it. Ankara escalates to the Aegean and the Mediterranean with two weapons in its quiver. On the one hand immigrants and on the other with drilling rigs and research vessels.

Erdogan is trying to enforce the "Blue Homeland" doctrine and seize territories belonging to Greece. Challenges are likely to escalate again in the air and sea, and the refugee issue, which Turkey is using as a weapon against Greece, is a serious threat.

Turkey "will continue its activities decisively" in the eastern Mediterranean, Turkey's National Security Council, which held 3.5 hours under Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, said in a statement. Two days ago Erdogan openly said “Don’t awake up the sleeping Giant because he will destroy you”

The National Security Policy Paper has been discussed and considered appropriate, having been prepared by evaluating all aspects of the arguments for our national security developments in our country, the region and the world.

Are the Turks preparing anything? The constant threats are not accidental. Indicative of the Turkish moods is the vision of the "Blue Homeland" itself, on the basis of which the Turkish leadership recognizes continental shelf only in the Mediterranean continental states based on the middle line delimiting the islands in their territorial waters. (6 nautical miles for the Greek islands and 12 nautical miles for Cyprus).

For those who follow the events it is obvious that Turkey will continue to build up the crisis in the Eastern Mediterranean. This will be increased significantly when they deploy operational the S-400 anti-missiles anti-air defense system and lock Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea and Syria Iraq.

Dspite the creation of a security zone on the border between Turkey and northeast Syria that has defused some tension in recent weeks, Syrian Kurds still fear the movement of Turkish ground and aerial forces in their backyard could be a prelude to an assault on the country’s Kurdish minority population.

“If they can, they will go to Damascus,” said Ilham Ahmed, a co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, the political arm of the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that are responsible for liberating northeastern Syria from the Islamic State, told Foreign Policy through an interpreter in a recent interview in Washington

The expenses that Turkey is investing on this big defense expansionism program against Kurds, buying drillings ships, investing much into their defense arms, have the scope to gain much more by conquering foreign lands in Greece and Cyprus, getting gas and oil from Cyprus and Greece, by destroying the East Med Gas and Oil project (Israel, Cyprus, Greece). Last but not least, by isolating Kurds as much as possible entering Syria first and Iraq next, and getting also their oil fields.

Who is going to stop them? We are leaving the area without anyone to stand in our place. This project is affiliated among Turkey, Russia and Iran where they share many same interests. Who is going to protect our Huge interests in this so important region? The more we withdraw and the more mistakes we make the more ground we give to our enemies to be stronger.

Our withdrawal from the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean with us relying on Turkey as our friend (No matter is the President), will be proven fatal for all our interests, which will be significantly harmed and the same might happen most likely to our assets and nuclear weapons in the Incirlik Base. We will lose our friends and partners and will be isolated from this region where Turkey, Iran and Russia will fill up our place.

We have to face Iran, Turkey, Russia, N. Korea, China without many Allies, as NATO is not following us, because we have humiliated them very much again and again on the highest levels and Europeans keep these things into their hearts.

Mr. President Trump I really worry very much, as I clearly see that wrong advises and actions are moving us to a corner to many interrelated issues worldwide.

Something that has been overlooked in this entire matter is a cease-fire that was brokered by the United States, the Trump administration between turkey and the Kurds. This is a historic event as these two factions have what could be considered to be a blood feud. The fact that they both agreed to a cease-fire even though it was short-lived but then reenacted speaks volumes of the negotiation ability of the officials that were involved. Keeping US forces in the area to simply Avoid conflict between two cultures that would prefer to simply destroy each other is not in our best interest. If you consider the logistics The time it takes to actually get a fully trained and experienced special forces operative and the fact that inexperienced and incompetent insurgent among the ranks of our “allies“ continue to take out our operatives in A battle of attrition puts us on the losing spectrum. A one on one battle where a pawn is sacrificed to take out a night or a bishop is a losing battle. By pulling our forces back we forced these two factions to face each other. If you look at this from a strategic standpoint of attrition and what we have to lose our gain within this small area the decision to move the troops back was a proper choice.

I will not provide deep explanations to my claims Admiral Peter Kikareas, I see you have good understanding of our region's future Total War trajectory. Removing Erdoganistan from NATO should be your first priority, because NATO in its current form is dead. Do not expect any Western nation to come for your help when the wannabe Caliph will start violently pursuing his fantasies. I recommend you will observe the behavior of the?froggy pimp?Macron and draw conclusions regarding the Europeans in general. I recommend you will observe 25 years of criminal negligence by several American administrations, that allowed a North Korean nuclear threat to the west coast and?draw conclusions, you can not expect loyalty from people who are not loyal to themselves. Read Erdogan's war plan -?https://www.yenisafak.com/en/world/what-if-a-muslim-army-was-established-against-israel-2890448 and you will understand that Erdogan is playing by his book to get hundreds of millions of Islamists dead. As an Israeli, I will be furious regarding any defense treaty my politicians will sign, but I do believe that the only real possible alliance for the Sons of Light is Israel-Greece-India. I do hope that the Kremlin will not find itself inside the Sons of Darkness alliance, but currently Putin is heavily invested in the Shiite alliance, dancing with Ayatollahs, Islamists and Tyrants. I think you Greeks should remind the Russians their alleged Orthodox Christianity that is currently being expressed only by hypocrite charades.? ?

With an intelligence community in a sequester for almost a decade, it's hard for leaders on both sides of the isle to see the way ahead and to be held accountable, because they can just claim ignorance after the fact.

Someone needs to open a dialogue about Turkey and stop their dangerous aggression. Washington is only interested in getting rid of our president and not doing their job.
