The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance has a tradition with the sole purpose of uplifting our business community year after year - it's the celebrated Good Morning Cedar Rapids! (GMCR) event.
A local institution since its debut in 1992, this annual gathering is much more than a morning meet-up. It serves as an exhilarating experience that brings the city's diverse, vibrant and innovative business landscape to the forefront. We do this by celebrating the small, unique, homegrown and established businesses that define our city's character.
One of the newest anticipations of the GMCR event is the grand revelation of the event's theme. The excitement in the air is palpable as attendees eagerly await to see how The Morning Scramble's Eric and Clare will showcase the theme - they NEVER disappoint! In 2021, they took us "under the CEDAR River", and in 2022 they put on a dazzling performance in "The Masked Singer" style. Part of the excitement is waiting to see what awaits attendees when the event kicks off bright and early in the morning.
GMCR isn't complete without the heartbeat of Cedar Rapids - its music. Local bands, known for their high-energy performances, take the stage and fill the room with an electric atmosphere. And what's a celebration without delicious food? Attendees are treated to a mouthwatering breakfast prepared by the Radisson Cedar Rapids chefs. The scent of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the sizzle of bacon, enticing everyone to the buffet.
Amidst the music and breakfast, GMCR provides a unique opportunity for business professionals to connect and network with their peers.
