Rising to Covid19 challenge

I lost a dear friend to Covid19. He was a pharmacist and passionately served the NHS. I was in utter shock for a few days and could taste fear along with grief. Fear for other NHS staff like my husband and many of our friends, who risk their lives everyday. I didnot know where to look and all the negative thoughts were affecting my health.
That is when I noticed my furniture industry friends who are using their resources and strength to help the NHS. This made me realise how our industry has risen to the challenge and is helping the NHS and I am going to do my bit by spreading the word and positivity that this can generate.
Here are two companies I know are doing a great job:
- Welltek have launched a campaign to help NHS staff - "breathe. focus. recover. Give our NHS staff a break". To support them during their busy and stressful shifts, they are providing NHS Hospital workers technology-based wellbeing furniture to rest and recover. They have now setup a funding page where our peers from the furniture industry can sponsor a product for this campaign or donate. See link below and please help spread this.
- Actiu have gone a step ahead and as one of Spain’s leading furniture manufacturer they took their social responsibility very seriously. Not only did they design & develop safety screens for hospital staff and donated these along with chairs, night stands, storage units, masks, aprons etc to hospitals across Spain. But have also invested in research of vaccination for this dreaded virus.
Salute to Welltek & Actiu.
I will be bringing more such companies & good deeds to spotlight, so if you know of others from our industry who are helping please let me know. Even individuals making masks & aprons for hospital staff is a great deed that needs to be applauded.
Help spread the positivity.

4 年So sorry to hear about that Harsha. Sending lots of love to you ??. Amazing work by Emma Jenkins & the wonderful Welltek team ??. Also Nathan Wood, Richard Greenwood and their teams have been donating their virus killer air purifying tech to schools.
Sorry to hear for your loss. My husband is a pharmacist too, it’s shocking how little regard for their safety is acknowledged or actioned. With most doctors re-directing majority of patients to the pharmacy, they need more resource, protection and definitely acknowledgment. I am truly very sorry to hear about your friend...
