Rising Above Negativity !
With all the dismal and gloomy events that frequently overwhelm our minds and flood our hearts, it becomes effortless to succumb to a pessimistic mindset leading to dysfunctional conduct and a cynical nature. It makes complete sense that a hurtful comment or unpleasant experience may impact our feelings and thoughts, prompting us to dwell on them and possibly form prejudices or negative labels against the subject or circumstance. But, it's critical to recognize that lingering on unpleasant feelings or thoughts can create a toxic environment that ultimately compromises our mental and emotional health.
So, the question arises how to save ourself from getting sucked into the whirlpool of negative energy and rise above it?
1)????Awareness: Every now and then we ruminate on things like: He said this to me, she doesn’t like me, he spoke rudely to me etc. By harboring hatred for one another, we not only lose mental energy but also damage our hearts. It's crucial to be conscious of our thoughts and identify when someone or something needs our attention. Also remember, negativity is contagious. Although it might not be perceptible at first, if you are not cautious around negative people, it is simple to fall victim to their way of thinking.
2)????Developing a Positive sense of frame: Observing one's own self-talk is the first approach towards positive thinking. Self-talk can be helpful tool for assessing and interpreting events in our daily life. Positive thinking can assist us in taking a breather, calming our concerns, and boosting our confidence. This can contribute in replacing negative thoughts with ingrained, constructive ones.

3)????Cultivate Compassion: Cultivating compassion and combating negativity go hand in hand since both involve a shift to a more optimistic perspective on life. Even in the face of negativity and adversity, compassion enables us to perceive the humanity in others and to reciprocate with kindness and understanding. As we practise compassion, we learn to set aside judgement and criticism and instead approach people with an open mind and a desire to be of assistance.
By accepting that negativity is a part of life, we can develop a mindset that enables us to deal with it effectively. Focusing too much on negative thoughts can make them grow stronger, and can lead to a negative mindset.
