I would only partially agree if you had written senior mangers, leaders aren’t necessarily senior, they can be anywhere within a heirarchy. But, don’t spend too much time stuck in strategy, they’re your best guess on how to meet the vision and should be done once, then spending the next 3-5 years on execution.

Great article on the mindset shift at the Senior Level, which can be challenging. The conclusion summed this up very well.

My favorite quote in this article, "It’s the equivalent of a driver being able to see a bend in the road from a distance and making the necessary adjustments well in advance, as opposed to swerving at the last minute." To me, that paints a clear picture of why a strategic view is more appropriate for leaders who must navigate through the storms while staying on course toward corporate goals. Thanks Jim!
