Rishi Bharadwaj of Saptrishi - my blood legacy - Devesh Purohit

I have heard a couple of times from my parents and some uncles and aunties from Ratlam in my childhood that we belong to Bharadwaj Rishi, Guru Dronacharya, Bharadwaj gotra, etc. I never paid any heed to it nor did I care.

Now, in recent years, I tried to research about the Saptarshi, Vishnu Puran, Shiv Puran and Vedas for my curiosity, research, understanding and developing my IP Legacy Matrix.

Again with my Uncle and my father I happen to discuss something which confirmed that I, my father side family carries the blood and DNA of Rishi Bharadwaj.

Now who is Rishi Bharadwaj and why is he so significant?

He is one of the Seven Wise Sages of the ancient Vedic India called as Saptarshi.

Rishi Bharadwaj was a great scholar and have huge contribution in medicine and he was a huge contributor for Rigveda.

His name and all the seven sages names and their stories can be found in Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vishnu Puran, Shiv Puran and other texts.

Lord Rama along with his brother Lakshman and his wife Sita Mata had visited Rishi Bharadwaj during their exile to his Ashram.

Guru Dronacharya, the teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas from Mahabharata, was the son of Rishi Bharadwaj.

In ancient Hindu astronomy, a constellation is named after the seven sages called as Saptrishi Mandal (or Taramandal) till date.

In 2022, I happen to visit Haridwar and a pond (kund or ghat) is named after them as Saptrishi and also an Ashram.

As per the texts in Shiv Puran and other vedic documents, the Saptrishis waited for a long and requested Lord Shiva to teach them Yoga. Lord Shiva as Adiyogi himself taught them the Yoga and its various forms.

As per a legend in Vishnu Puran, the world was about to be destroyed through a calamity. Lord Vishnu chose a sage Manu and instructed him to take these Seven Sages with him in the boat during the calamity and tell them together to redevelop the world with their wisdom and knowledge.

As per other records, Rishi Bharadwaj wanted to help humanity and he realized one lifetime wouldn't be enough. He requested Lord Indra to grant him more lives. And thus you can find his mentions in such a long timeline from pre-Ramayana era to Mahabharata.

Lord Brahma had created the Saptrishi with the aim of spreading the knowledge on earth. And I am glad I belong to the lineage Rishi Bharadwaj. Now I understand I could develop Legacy Matrix. It was all divinely written.
