“Risepreneurs”- Duja Consulting bespoke Entrepreneurial Programme for budding entrepreneurs
For our country, for business and for the world, the country’s most economical driver is the youth. The best chance of heightening, continuance, and sustainability are the youth. Business and the opulence of the county are intrinsically linked. Youth of our world, and the many generations to come, face unprecedented challenges that will take bravery and innovation to overcome.
If we can assist young people to adopt a pioneering, purposeful and entrepreneurial mindset, we can give them the best possible chance of tackling these challenges. Every business should be launched to solve a problem, and it’s important that all budding entrepreneurs know this.
In my experience with working in the youth development space over the past 15 years, I found that the best skills, attitudes, and values you could teach a Rising preneur- Risepreneur (the term I invented whilst working and coaching the budding start upside hustles in the local rural communities) would be:
1.???? Listen deeply and always act with empathy. I can’t underestimate the power of listening. I have come up with so many ideas and acquired much wisdom from listening more than I speak. I jot down notes all the time, wherever I go, and it assists me to come up with fresh innovative ideas. Being a good listener and an empathetic person is one way to put yourself in the shoes of your customers, which is an ideal way to run a business.
2.???? Collaborate and Networking is Crucial. You need to build your networks, trust, and collaborate. The youth should also learn the power off delegating and how to bring out the best in people as early as they can-because everyone is unique and brings different skills to the table, and sometimes you cannot do things by yourself.

3.???? Welcome optimism.? Say YES as often as possible. Entrepreneurship is often a no risk-no reward domain, so its part and parcel to take calculated risks and to acknowledge that’s its ok if it does not always work out. I often say if it’s for a good cause and contributes to a good life. I also live by a phrase by Sir Richard Branson “the brave many do not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all. Your business and your life will be exciting if you are taught how to take smart risks, lean into your fears, and see the glass half full in life. This is innately linked to trusting your instinct, which is certainly something that can be learnt and regularly exercised.
4.???? Unravel problems through creativity. You cannot innovate without critical and lateral thinking and using creativity to solve problems. Thinking differently is very important. Giving people the permission to dream big, bring radical ideas to the table and draw outside of the lines is so important. Learning and adopting these skills, values and attitudes is so detrimental and important with the rise of AI. ?We must remember AI can’t replace the soft skills such as complex innovating, problem solving and communicating. These are also vital skills for entrepreneurs.

1 年I have actually shared this post with the interns I coach. Would encourage every youth person to have some sort of business on the side, it teaches you inter alia, discipline and you acquire skills that you can still utilize in the workplace as well. This is a great initiative, well done Duja and Rooksana
