Rise of youth Hikikomori Syndrome, modern-day hermits (1.5 million??)
Japanese society and schools too, have become oppressive, unsafe space.?? Like a Russian doll, the nuclear family became the company that mirrors the larger conglomerate of society, home no longer provides a safe space. Home is no longer a safe space.
Therefore, many sensitive young individuals become shut-ins??, experiencing severe social withdrawal and relapses at university??, in new jobs??, and in their married lives??.
The idea of socializing for the majority of Japanese people is too much of a bother to begin with??♂? because this social structure has developed in that way. The society is well-organized so that people don't need to socialize with others much. The thing is, moms. Moms are ashamed of their 'lost' children and continue to serve them meals?? in a society that values work highly. Moms can't stop working because we are brainwashed??or ego to believe that labor (sacrifice) is our form of justice."
