Rise and Shine!

Rise and Shine!

It's time to rise and shine with some morning routine inspiration! As we navigate our daily lives, it's important to find a balance between taking care of ourselves and our bank accounts.

First up, morning routines. A good morning routine can really set us up for the day. We eat better, get more done, have more energy, and even take care of our finances better. We all have our own unique way of starting the day and there is no right or wrong morning routine. We shame ourselves enough. We don’t have to do it over our morning routine!

Conversely, have you ever thought about the benefits of a consistent routine? Not only does it help us establish healthy habits, but it also sets the tone for the rest of the day. Some of our favorite morning routines include meditation, journaling, and getting in a kickboxing workout. But here's something new and interesting to add to your routine: try looking at the markets in the morning! Not only does it educate you a bit, but it also helps keep you informed and can slowly take the emotion out of the markets. You start to see patterns.

Notice, we didn’t say look at your accounts each day. That might be a little too much and can cause stress or anxiety. It’s a bit too personal to look at every day. Yet, having an overarching idea of how the markets are working each day can give you confidence in your investing strategy. There are so many apps you can use to look at the overall markets. Now, onto self-care. We all need a little TLC every now and then, but it's often put on the back burner in our busy lives. However, taking care of ourselves should be a top priority. Whether it's a spa day or simply taking a walk in nature, finding ways to relax and rejuvenate is crucial for our mental and physical health. One story that comes to mind is a friend of mine who started taking dance classes as a form of self-care. Not only did it improve her physical health, but it also boosted her confidence and provided a creative outlet.

Being more mindful about money can be a form of self care as well. Money can be a stressful topic, but being in control of your money can lead to greater peace of mind and financial stability. One tip we have is think about your upcoming financial week. What are you expecting to spend money on and approximately how much? This way you are setting an expectation for yourself and often can stick with your plan. This also allows you to say no to things that just aren’t a priority and maybe save a buck or two while preserving your “me” time. Intention is the key.

So there you have it, folks! A little morning routine inspiration, some self-care tips, and financial advice. Remember to find that balance and take care of yourselves. Until next time, keep shining!
