Again, this simple affirmation tunes your brain into seeking positive evidence to support your declaration. We see the world through a set of filters that reflect our emotional framework. Change your emotional base and your perception will adjust to accommodate your new outlook. Don’t touch your phone. Leave it alone. Get out of bed slowly and gently, pulling your abs in as you stand up to make sure your back is suitably relaxed and make a gentle stretch to lengthen your spine and open your chest. Now you’re ready to head to the bathroom so make sure you smile at your reflection in the mirror. This might take a little practice because it doesn’t feel natural but it’s a very healthy, direct way to connect with your body, a powerful gesture that will help you to feel more comfortable with your physical frame. Now you’re ready to start your day in style.
The idea is to frame your opening thoughts and feelings within a set of very positive gestures. Repeat the formula every day and they’ll soon become a very comfortable habit for you to enjoy.
