Yesterday my son asked, “How Alexa knows the answers?” I thought it’s a tough one to explain but the next question was hard-hitting to explain a 6-year-old “How does it learn and who’s the teacher” – I tried best to make him understand and imagine the future. He’s excited about the future saying like “planet of apes it will be The Planet of computers”
The way computers we use & they crawl into human life is more empathy, astonishing, compensating and budding. Every 18 months there’s a new achievement in the Artificial Intelligence. The way it’s rising, in next 30 years or by 2045 the AI will match the human brains and intelligence. AI is all about the future predictions and The future has already begun. Lets look about the stage we are in and what it will bring to the human life
AI to ease and improve the services: IBM Watson: The computer system was initially developed to answer questions on the quiz show Jeopardy, The Watson computer system competed on Jeopardy! against legendary champions Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings winning the first place prize of $1 million. And now it’s used in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City and 90% of the nurses have followed the instruction of Watson. It's also getting into other horizons as chatterbots, writing codes, teaching assistant in educational institutes, weather forecasting, Tax preparation [H&R Block started using at national wide] etc. AI will change the way we learn and take instructions by 2045.
“AI calculates patterns based on past data from the systems and predicts the future probability”: Law enforcement agencies are using the crime predicting technology. The software will learn the way humans do, through experiences rather than hard wiring. The researchers trained their algorithm using past data [ approx. 33 years] from the Police Department 50000 gang-related and non-gang-related homicides, aggravated assaults, and robberies from past and predicting the future probability of crime in localities. The predication has increased arrest rate by 50% and the crime rate diminished by 20% in California. As per experts say by 2045 the AI can predict where and when a crime can happen with accuracy .
“AI can help in choosing the person and the career” Example of such is an AI predicting a hit song before they’ve blown up. Hitwizard, an AI specifically trained to predict the next big hit to take the music industry by storm. To come up with such predictions, Hitwizard takes into account the various sound parameters of a song (like BPM, valence, tempo) and compares them against airplay data sourced from Dutch radio stations and the local Spotify charts. This allows the AI to predict what chances a song has of becoming a hit with an accuracy ratio of approximately 66 percent. Curiously, Boer notes that Hitwizard is much better at predicting which songs are unlikely to please the crowds – the AI can guesstimate if your song will flop with an accuracy of 93 percent. To help the model get closer to this goal, Boer says the company is entertaining the idea of introducing new parameters to the algorithm. By 2045, AI can help to choose the career, or where to invest the time or whom to choose for casting etc or AI can help in writing a hit song too
“AI will be it’s own competitor “ Race is on and on for future predictions. Right now the Google in the top notch for any search or information. And it’s using the data to develop the next gen super computer. It using Quantum computing for it’s new quantum processor could soon outperform classic supercomputers. This is heating up the competition between Google, IBM and Intel, it feels like we're tearing towards quantum supremacy. Google has now unveiled Bristlecone, a new quantum computer chip. The team says that eventually, the Bristlecone should be more than capable of reaching that watershed moment of demonstrating quantum supremacy. If it does manage to outperform a classical supercomputer, the processor could become the basis for building larger scale quantum computers. By 2045, there will new dimension about supremacy on performance.
“AI will help in choosing next leader or fitment” Humanyze is a startup based in Boston. The Sociometric? Badge which is a standard employee badge except that it’s equipped with a Bluetooth connection, an accelerometer, a microphone, and other tools to “measure human interaction” in the workplace. The device measures things like how people moved through the day, who they interacted with, what their tone of voice was like, and other types of interactions that happen at every company, every day. It can even tell if you lean in to listen when you’re speaking to people. This workplace monitoring device is going to make sure you’re behaving in whatever manner the firm you work for deems appropriate. Not only this, but it also collects 40 + different types of information which will help an organization to be healthy. By 2045, these sort of devices can play a bigger role, in choosing a candidate, behavioral impacts, eligibility and can also predict who would be a next CTO or CEO etc
“AI for a happy Life too A math genius hacked okcupid to find true love. Chris McKinlay used Python scripts to riffle through hundreds of OkCupid survey questions. He then sorted female daters into seven clusters, like "Diverse" and "Mindful," each with distinct characteristics. Once he knew the key questions, he answered them honestly and became the top match for 30,000 women and began receiving a huge increase in unsolicited messages. Though popular mathematically, McKinlay found he had to deal with woman's expectations that the two were "perfect matches." He combated this social expectation by going on "efficient and depersonalized dates" one after the other until he finally found his true perfect match, on date #88. Tinder had earlier released a feature called ‘Smart Photos,’ aimed at increasing user’s chances of finding a match. Besides, the algorithm also reflects the ability to adjust to the personal preference of its users. The underlying process starts with a simple test, swapping the photo first seen by other users, when they view your profile. The underlying algorithm analyses the responses by who swipes left to decline or right to agree. ‘Smart Photos’ reorders your images to showcase your most popular photo first. This reordering is based on the responses, obtained from the analysis. The system improves continually and gets smarter with more input. By 2045, a person can predict his / her life with the future partner to lead a happy life.
There are many such examples where Artificial Intelligence is evolving in our day-day life
Should we worry or excited: Artificial Intelligence will
- Profit the society by enhancing our efficiency and quantity
- Will create new prospects for revenue generation and job creation with cost saving
- Help in doing tedious labor, so this is where AI can provide a true benefit
- Allow Human to do the more interpersonal and creative aspects of work
- Encourages a gradual evolution in the job market which where we work better with help of AI
- Help smart homes to reduce energy usage and provide better security
- Provide better healthcare with diagnoses equipment around
- Provide the biggest opportunity of our lifetime to extend and expand human creativity and ingenuity
I feel “With a right preparation for the future "Planet of Computers" is more exciting”.
