Rise Like the Eagle

Rise Like the Eagle

Shed the Old, Embrace the New

Dear Sister,

Did you know that the eagle, one of God’s most majestic creations, faces a pivotal moment in its life where it must make a choice: grow or die? At a certain age, its beak grows so worn and brittle that it can no longer function. The eagle must make the painful decision to beat off its old beak, allowing a new one to grow. Only then can it soar again with renewed strength and purpose.

Sister, we are no different.

Maybe life has worn you down. The weight of raising a special needs child, navigating a foreign land, surviving abuse, or longing for love might feel unbearable. You may feel like you’re at your breaking point, but hear this:

You were made to rise.

Like the eagle, there are parts of your old self—doubt, fear, pain—that you must let go of. It’s not easy, and it may feel like breaking, but on the other side is renewal, hope, and the strength to soar higher than you ever imagined.

I’ve been where you are. I’ve felt the sting of brokenness, the ache of loneliness, and the weight of responsibilities that felt too big to carry. But like the eagle, I made the choice to rise—to shed what was holding me back and step into the life God intended for me.

Now, I rise to inspire YOU to do the same.

You are not alone, Sister.

  • To the mother overwhelmed by a diagnosis, I see you.
  • To the woman who’s been waiting too long for love, I understand.
  • To the survivor still carrying the scars of abuse, your healing is near.
  • To the immigrant trying to build a new life, your hope is alive.

Your past may feel like a weight, but it doesn’t define your future. God created you to soar.

Over the next few letters, I’ll share how I broke free from the old, allowing God to renew me and lift me higher. But for now, I want you to take the first step: Start reflecting on what you need to let go of. Write it down—what habits, fears, or pains are holding you back? Let this be your moment to choose growth.

Like the eagle, you are being called to rise, renew, and embrace the life God has waiting for you. Will you answer that call?
