The Rise and Fall of the Underdog

The Rise and Fall of the Underdog

The one thing that makes Outsiders powerful, is the ability to turn their back to the crowds and face the music they want to create. The instruments might not be in tune, and the melodies might not be easy on the ears. They look from the outside in. They see the potential, a vision, a perspective from their point of view. They don’t suffer from myopia.

Let’s face it, everyone loves an underdog. Why? They never give up. They fight hard for what they want. They have self-belief. They show up and play full out. Even with all odds against them, they will seal their destiny with resilience. The irony is this: people always celebrate the person when they made it, and discourage them relentlessly on the way to their success. Resilience is the underdogs best friend. It changes them. They learn the art of selective hearing. Underdogs don’t project other people's fears into their own lives.

The IN with the TWO Outsiders podcast is about two underdogs, John Vlismas and Carmen Murray that find other underdogs, misfits, professional trouble makers, activists, and uncover their underdog story looking from the outside in. They have meaningful conversations with people that are changing the way we see the world, one word, one day, one act at a time.

If you are an Underdog, then you are an Outsider. If you are a rebel, then you are an Outsider. If you are a trouble maker, you are an Outsider. If you want to expand your mind, you are an Outsider. If you are awakened, you are an Outsider.

Come join us in the journey as we learn, challenge each other, but mostly learn from others how we can become masterpieces of resilience.
