I am a mom. I am a businesswoman. I am a triathlete. I am a yogi.
Although I wear a lot of hats, I gotta say they all have one thing in common: Everything, lol. The way you do anything is the way you do everything.
Do you agree?
In Pema Chodrun’s book, When Things Fall Apart ,she explores the idea that nothing is perfect and the more we strive for perfection, the more we prolong suffering. Once we realize that things don’t actually get solved but that they come together and fall apart, and then come together and fall apart again, we are free. Our healing is a result of feeling it all. As a yogi, I have danced on the edge of my physical and emotional pains to break through. As a triathlete, the day of the race contained it all ... the pain and the victory. As a mom, I have learned every lesson over and over. In business, I have witnessed that things will fall apart and then come together again and again and again.
If you are in a state of not knowing right now, make room for that, without judgement. What happens next could be the best adventure of your life. Apply this to all your identities, in every situation and as we realize nothing is ever perfect and we allow everything to fall apart and come together.... often times it comes together better than we ever could have imagined. We don't always get what we want, but we get what we need.
Wishing you incredible success and a joy filled journey. Keep the faith.
